The monarchs streamed through Cape May today. The migration went on for hours down the beach. Many of the monarchs came in and started roosting early in the day in cedars and pines along the dunes. The team found approximately 8,000 butterflies roosting but I'm sure there were many more around the Point we didn't see!!! It's so nice to see another wave of monarchs on their way to Mexico!! So many visitors were awed by the spectacle. It was an awesome migration day for songbirds and hawks as well.
