From September 08 to September 30, 2012, I have had no monarchs migrating through Harrisville, MI. I observed 26 from September 01 to September 07. Last year, 2011, I saw 189 throughout September and 700 in September of 2010. The monarchs may be declining here due to our NE Michigan drought, more southerly winds, and, for 2012, the monarchs came back in the Spring far to early (April-May with none in June - their usual return month).
