6:50am, 40 degrees F, 1 Female at feeder.
8:40am, 46 degrees F, the same Female at feeder, sat on feeder for a few minutes and took flight to the southwest at a continuously rising flight apparently to clear the ridge at the other side of the valley. During the summer they rarely flew in this direction.
