Took a leisurely bike ride on the Trans Canada Trail today looking for Monarchs. Travelled south from Oldcastle for 7km round trip. Mostly sunny, 19C, light wind, lots of nectaring plants, Milkweed with set seed, Robins, Blue Jays, 200 Red Winged Blackbirds, even a Viceroy; no Monarchs.
