Many many monarchs warmed up in the morning sun after roosting for much of the day on Saturday in the cooler weather. Some of those 10,000 roosting monarchs crossed the Delaware Bay, others found gardens to nectar in, some settled into the goldenrod on the dunes and a few stayed in roosts in the conifers. We did get an influx of new monarchs arriving along with dragonflies and some other butterflies. The songbirds were also phenomenal!! Another amazing day in Cape May where the sky was filled with flying colors!!!
