I saw 2 Monarchs flying south in Laurel Springs, NC. When leaving the mountains I asked a member of a bird watching group if they had observed any. A member stated he had counted 18 while bird watching. The birdwatchers were near Roaring Gap, NC which is before Laurel Springs so it's possible the two I saw had already been counted. I then observed 2 more flying south before the bird watching group. Sunny day with cool temps around 65-70.
