Sightings report image

Date: 10/01/2012

Number: 2

Saturday, I had at least 3 or 4 in the area fighting and chasing each other away from the feeders. I have had 4 feeders up all summer long, but while watching them constantly chase each other, it didn't look like any of them were getting a chance to feed for very long. I decided to hang a 5th feeder up, and within a few minutes, some of them were feeding from the new feeder. After that, I noticed that they weren't being as territorial and aggressive towards each other. Yesterday and today, I have only seen 2, and they were both at the same feeding station. At times, they would chase each other, but not near as aggressive as the ones I witnessed on Saturday. Here is a picture of one that I took this morning. Hopefully someone can help me identify it, since I am fairly new at this, and have not learned how to tell the different kinds apart yet. :)
