Can anyone tell me if a birdie with black feathers around its collar and a black stripe down the middle of its breast is an immature male? I've attached a pic here, sorry its a bit blurry (I don't have one of those expensive cameras!). But you can see the feathers in question clearly. I also saw a female hovering over my pots of red impatiens, and also at the feeder this afternoon. I think they are both migrants. Glad I could help them out.
