Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/30/2012

Number: 1

I had an adult male and female for best part of latter Spring and most of Summer. I loved watching them and they let me. They got really frisky and would dive bomb each other and play, chatter at me when I would come by the feeders and when I would watch them from the window, one would get right up in my face and chatter at me on the other side of the window. I would come home from work, sit out on my glider and just watch them every day. Then their activity slowed down, and I only saw one for a while, until the other showed up and low and behold another joined them shortly after that. Now I believe the original two are gone by about two weeks, and either the female is left or a young male, there is white at the tips of the tail.I was hoping that they would all fly together but I think this one maybe wasn't ready. It had disappeared for a few days and I thought it had gone until I spotted it Sunday afternoon, Septmenber 30th at my feeder. It didn't stay long and I havent seen it since.
