Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2012

Number: 2

We observed two caterpillars for 12 days, watching them eat lots of milkweed and they both went into their pupa stage after reaching a very large caterpillar size. On September 28, 2012 they emerged into beautiful Monarch Butterflies. The weather was very rainy and each butterfly waited until the rain stopped before they left the neighborhood. They were sheltered underneath flowering plants.
