Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/03/2012

Number: 4

I was out with my students about 2:45. We saw two butterflies far up in the sky ....too high to see anything. Then we saw 3 more that we could tell were orange but we were not sure whether they were monarchs or fritillaries. Then two more we were fairly certain were monarchs. FINALLY one flew towards us low enough that we could definitely positively identify it as a monarch!! We were very excited! We will look again same time tomorrow! Thanks for all your hard work! We love this website!!
