After a dawn visit to our feeder, this hummingbird made good use of our flowers. The last visit to our feeder was at 10:43am, almost exactly 24 hours after it's arrival yesterday. It was a particularly warm day for October, but the winds shifted to the northwest. I assume the hummingbird made good use of tail winds to continue south before the cold weekend that we are expecting. I will keep my feeder out for another 2 weeks, but I expect that this is the last hummingbird we will see for this season.
