Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/05/2012

Number: 1000

Dawn in Cape May Point - the monarchs were up and flying down the dunes. Everywhere you looked - butterflies in the air!! They settled into the English ivy and gardens to nectar. The NW winds were a bit strong on the beach for any to be on the seaside goldenrod. They were also seen getting moisture off the dewy grass. While I was swimming in the Bay quite a few flew over me - how fun !!
