We still have 20-25 rubythroats, but today I observed a rubythroat chasing a rufous about six feet away from me. We observed a rufous about a month ago for three days, so I don't know if it is the same bird or a different one. I could not tell if it was a young male or a female. This is the first year that we have seen a different species in our yard.
