Put the hummingbird feeder back out at daybreak this morning. Miss Hummingbird and her friend are still out there. Both look to be adult females. She went to her perch in the nearby tree first then both sat on the feeder and drank at the same time. She seems to be allowing this one to feed a little more than she was and not standing guard over the feeder and chasing like she had been. More playful yesterday and better at sharing the feeder. Could she have possibly found a traveling partner? We can only hope! Its 37 degrees this morning. I'll be working to keep the nectar warmer for them and still plenty of flowers but a frost advisory for tonight.
