Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/07/2012

Number: 1

October 7th , still have one hummingbird hanging around in our south flower garden. Wasn't as cold as I expected last night. (still plenty chilly for me!) Seems to go after the black and blue salvia which is in the middle of the garden of lady in red salvia, mexican sunflowers and regular sunflowers. The hummer loves to perch and sun on the dried standing sunflowers. Sunflowers are dried and ugly but we notice in the past the hummers like to perch on them. Besides the cardinal, gold finches and sometimes other migrating bird stop to visit. Not seen the hummer use the feeder today so far.
