I have 1 female hummer left, she has been fighting the recent cold front we got. I wish I knew how to keep the feeders warm during the day. Tomorrow is another very cold morning, expected to be 40 & Tuesday it's going to 37. She sits on the branches still flapping her wings, I hope she isn't sick. I had about 80 hummers 3 weeks ago & they've tapered off by half the amount each week. Most of them left last week, as if they knew the cold front was on it's way. Last year I had a male hummer stay until October 16th, I hope my girl moves on soon before it gets too cold. I worry so much about her :o(
