Saw one monarch in my backyard. I haven't seen any in over a week so was very surprised to see it. It is sunny but only 51 degrees, and winds are about 12 mph from the SSW. We had our first freeze last night with temps down to 32, and almost all of the flowers are gone. It was trying to scrounge some nectar from what's left of the Verbena bonariensis, boltonia and asters. Hope it makes it.
