As of 10-9-12, I have raised & released approx 40 monarchs in the last couple of weeks. I am still finding large caterpillars and still have approximately 25 cocoons with about 30 younger caterpillars coming along. It has been an extremely good year and I had planted a lot of milk weed, but it is getting low now after feeding so many. I have many caterpillar enemies with red wasps, green tree frogs, numerous lizards and birds, and have struggled the last two years. Even though I get them late they are a joy this year.
