Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/09/2012

Number: 1

Well, today is the 14th day that Ripley has been with us. She is at our feeders all day long. She just sits on the perch of the feeder, or sits in the purple leaf sand cherry trees that are planted right next to the feeders. (I named her Ripley after the very tough lead female role from the "Alien" movies. This little hummer has a bent upper beak-kind of "rippled" and she enjoys chasing bees from her feeders. She's one tough lady for sure...especially hanging out in MI so late into the season!)
