Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/11/2012

Number: 2

Yesterday (10/10/12), another teacher from school saw two monarchs refueling in our school garden. While at recess my class spotted two flying north to south, low over the playground. Quite possibly the same two butterflies that were observed in our garden. Today (10/11/12) my class saw one pass by our garden out the window and then we captured and later tagged another while on our way to the buses on our Aster oblongifolius at 2:30 pm. Poor thing was tattered from its long journey. Hope to get a few more before the season is over. We have currently tagged six at school.
