Brisk gusty south wind. Warm. high 60s rising to mid 80s. Saw 2 Monarchs at 1300, 11 at around 1600 several hundred feet away. Butterflies widely spread, mostly feeding on liatris, stating with 2 feet of ground when changing flowers. A couple were sheltering on downwind side of mid-sized Live Oak.
