I had reported around Oct 3 that the hummers were gone, I was wrong. My husband forgot to tell me that he saw a couple on 10/6. I put my feeder back out, and I've had at least 2 every day since. I just saw a couple dive bombing eachother over who was going to get to sit at it. I think they're young females. I'd like to mention here that I had a problem with my cat vs the hummers...my husband fixed the problem by raising the feeder to about 5 feet, and putting a kiddie pool with water in it under the feeder! The cat didn't want to get wet! :) Since part of the pool is up against the house, he put a 4ft roll of small holed wire around the perimeter of the outer part of the pool. Keep in mind, we live way out in the county and have no worries about any small kids falling into it.
