I have not seen a monarch for over a week, and my last tagging was on Oct. 1. I had one tag left and had lost hope, but with a warm and breezy AM, one female, in excellent condition, came to my butterfly bushes for a snack. Most of the blossoms are gone, but I have been deadheading to try to keep it going, and glad I did! Later in the afternoon, the wind was strong blowing toward the north east and there was some rain, so not sure how much progress my butterfly (RLS 799) made today!
