Visited Folly Beach S.C. yesterday (10/13), started out walking to the north end of the beach. It war around noon, but the wind was blowing pretty hard while walking on the beach. When we were ready to leave we took a path near some thick low trees, I knew if there were any butterflies they would need to take shelter in those trees...I was right, first it was 1 then 2 and then 3, before we left the north area I counted 15 monarch's. Driving down the road, there's still a lot of flowers blooming and monarch's everywhere.
From there we traveled to the Folly Beach Pier. It was amazing, we were surprised when we saw so many monarch's flying past us. They picked up the breeze and it almost looked like they had been shot out of a gun...
After leaving Folly Beach this morning, we were driving on the 4 land, we continue to see monarch's for about 20 miles inland....
