Tulips PLANTED

Date: 10/08/2012

Number: 1

We have had a very dry autumn so far, and one week of frost most nights. The tulip bulbs were planted the long weekend in October when we celebrate Thanksgiving. We made sure to mulch our bulbs because the winter in Saskatoon is very harsh. One student reported that his dog wanted to eat his tulip bulb and dug it up out of the flower bed. The student thought we should add dogs to the list of animals that might eat our bulbs. This week we are going to have warm nights above zero.
