Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/14/2012

Number: 2

I was out taking photos of my butterfly garden when I saw two Monarchs. One was flying normally, but the other looked like it was struggling. The one flying normally flew away but the other stayed in the garden and kept sipping from the zinnias so I took a lot of photos of it on the flowers. Later when I looked at the photos on my computer, I saw that both wings on it's left side were damaged. I felt so sad that it couldn't fly south with the other Monarch.
