Wind south all day. Check for roosts at sunset. I'm calling these roosts since the Monarchs were clustering, even though small numbers. This is the first time I have seen anything "roosty" this year, in spite of numbers on liatris during the day. Previously I have seen a few around trees, but not clumped. Most appeared to be sheltering from wind. Image shows two different roostlets in different groves over 1000 feet apart. One under Live Oak, the other under Ashe Juniper.
