I spotted a monarch larva nibbling on a small Butterfly Weed plant and transferred it to a larger, lush plant nearby. I noted a huge green praying mantis lounging nearby on that same plant. Several hours later both organisms were gone. Do you suppose the mantis feasted on my larva????
