Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/16/2012

Number: 1

After finally figuring out how to use a feeder, my last immature male visitor of the season tanked up for two days and finally migrated after my last sighting of him at 8:10AM on October 16, 2012. I was starting to get concerned for him as most of the Lady In Red Salvias in the yard were killed by frost on the 8th and 9th. I had been bringing my cigar plants back outside for him from the garage every day before work, but other than the feeders (which he hadn't figured out yet) there wasn't anything in my yard for him to feed on for a couple of hours after first light for almost a week.
