While traveling south on the Hutchinson River Parkway from Westchester County into the Bronx my husband and spotted an adult bald eagle flying over a pond area on the east side of the parkway just north of the Co-op City apartment complex. This is in the vicinity of Orchard Beach and City Island, where there are many owls, great blue herons, egrets and osprey pair in the summer.
