Symbolic Monarchs (Sent)

Date: 10/22/2012

Number: 1

We decorated our monarch with poinsettias to represent our Greenville, SC connection to Mexico. Dr. Joel Poinsett was an ambassador to Mexico from 1825-1830. He brought Mexico's flor de nochebuena back to Greenville. It was later named poinsettia after Dr. Poinsett.
