Number: 1

I had 9 butterflies going into their chrysalises back around September 8, 2012. Two more butterflies (one around noon and the other one around 3:00 PM) came out today and they are drying their wings in the sun right now. They were in their chrysalises for over 6 weeks! During the hight of summer it only takes about 2 to 3 weeks. It is about 17 degrees Celsius today and the sky is clear. The weather is looking pretty good for the next few days, so I will release them either later today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, 2 days ago, 2 butterflies came out, however it was only 7 degrees Celsius and their wings did not extend at all and they did not make it. I have 4 more chrysalises left. Hopefully they will come out later today, otherwise I'm afraid it will be too late. The majority of flowers are pretty well gone here.
