Another beautiful sunny day with temps in the mid 60's and a moderate WNW wind. The peak migration occurred more than a month ago and today I still spotted 56 monarchs mostly after 3 pm and were accompanied by both dragonflies and red admiral butterflies. Around 4pm they flew over the dunes and started to roost in pine trees in small groups of 2-4 per tree. Despite the colder temperatures at night lately, they looked very healthy.
