I've never even had any late October juvenile ruby-throated stragglers before, so I was pretty shocked when an adult male showed up in my yard late yesterday. Adult males always leave in early September, so I'm not sure what this little guy's story is. He is back this morning using one of my feeders. This is why I leave a couple feeders up through Halloween. You never know when a very late hummer might show up.
