Today, our entire third grade level (8 classes) planted Red Emperor tulip bulbs with help from 5th graders. The weather was unseasonably warm, about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. We planted our bulbs in conjunction with Red Ribbon Week, which is a week to teach kids about being and staying drug free. Our theme was "Plant a Promise." When the kids see the flowers bloom year after year, it will remind them that they are choosing to live a healthy, drug-free life.
