Went to Black Bayou Refuge north of Monroe, hoping to tag some monarchs. Reports from folks who are there on a daily basis have seen 10 monarchs and another person saw 20.
The refuge has a 2,000 acre lake plus another 2000 acres of land surrounding it. Reason I mention the lake is the picture below. I will find out what kind of flowers those are, that's where the monarchs were at. I only had my camera phone, saw 12 in that area. Those flowers are all over that lake. I saw the other 4 monarchs around a pier.
Didn't have any luck tagging any, they were all out of reach!
