Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/25/2012

Number: 1

Spotted 1 female monarch flying over our school garden at 10:00 AM. She landed on the windowsill of neighbors garage and perched in the bright sunshine. I easiy picked her up and noticed some minor dullness/wear to her coloring. When released onto a flowering fall anemone, she lost her grip and fell into the stems. It appeared that she was still trying to warm up from night temperatures in the mid 50s. She was not observed to feed; but flew off over the building towards the south. Fly quickly little one. Bad storms headed our way on Sun/Mon.
