We planted the garden when the weather was approximately 60 degrees and we had rain the night before. The ground was not overly wet but just damp. We covered the garden with chicken wire to ensure no squirrels eat our bulbs. We actually had to plant half of the bulbs on 10/17/12 because of the size of our class.
