At about 2:30 this afternooon, I was trying to find the eggs spotted a couple of days ago on the milkweed, which I did not find. There were 5 monarchs either flying around or nectering at the blue mist. One was behaving very erratically - like he was trying to pick a fight with the others, including several queens. Before he settled down, the wind really kicked up from the north, the temperature dropped several degrees and we started to have a little mist. The monarchs all headed to the top of the oak tree on the south side in a roosting position. Now, 45 minutes later, they have all disappeared.
