I was back at Fort Morgan Saturday and Sunday last week (10/20-21) and there are monarchs galore. I didn't attempt a count. It would be especially difficult since there were so many Gulf Fritillaries. The photo below is typical of the area, which is a restricted part of the refuge, but it is many acres covered with these yellow daisy like flowers with Monarchs, Fritillaries, and a few other species in countless numbers.
I have not been there at dusk or dawn, so can't speak to roosting, but may very well be there at dawn this coming weekend (10/27-28).
