Surprisingly - very surpriseingly, while at the playground with my granddaughter, I saw two Monarchs fly by. We were about 1000' from the ocean - one seemed very dull and a bit "tattered" but the other was larger, more colorful and seemed to have a bit more energy. Good luck with Sandy moving up the coast!! Unfortunately I could not capture a photo of either one.
