Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 10/27/2012

Number: 2

Very cool this morning (43F) with north winds gusting to 10mph has brought in 2 very hungry what appear to be female Rufous hummers. They are very fast coming to and from the feeder and are wary of me and my kittens nearby. My Wife said that yesterday about 2:00pm she saw a Rufous at the back feeder also. Also seeing unidentified species at kitchen and front bedroom feeder. Last year we had a Rufous stay most of the winter. I wonder if more will be here this winter.
