Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/26/2012

Number: 1000

I have attached 3 shots of Monarchs on bottle brush bushes at the Fairhope pier this afternoon. There were several hundred just on this one clump of bushes and there are many other bottle brush bushes in this park, so there could easliy be 1,000 here alone. By the way this park is on the Eastern shore of Mobile Bay and any Monarch headed south or west could hardly resist stopping here to dine on the bottle brush before heading across the bay.
