Jenkins County Elementary School students planted their tulip bulbs the day after hurrican Sandy passed us by. The storm left us with unusually cold and windy weather. We planted at 1:30pm with a temperature of 60 degrees F. and wind gusts up to 33mph. We had 1.24 inches of rain in the month of October.
