"Captain Jack" is an aged black-chin. I estimate him to be six (yes, really) years, at least, as this how many years he's been at my feeder. And he's the only black-chin, in ruby territory. I thought he *was* a ruby that was mutated until I learned about black-chins. LOL And, now I'm wondering, since he's still here and he usually leaves in September, if he's lost his capability to migrate due to his advanced age. ='(
