Remarkably, the adult male ruby-throated hummer that arrived on October 22nd is still here on November 1st. I see him at the feeders throughout the day now because all the blooms have been killed by multiple hard freezes. This morning he is also spending a lot of time trying to catch tiny flying insects in my yard, something I haven't seen much of until now.
