Keith Graves tagged 41 monarchs along the Colorado River at Lake Havasu Sunday. They were nectaring on Chaste Trees in bloom and roosting in nearby pine trees, Chinese Elm and Desert Willows. Chrissy Kondrat-Smith also reported 17 monarchs in the area as well over the weekend. (Reported to Southwest Monarch Study.)
