October was a month of exceptional fall color, especially the oak trees. Most of the leaves have now fallen from the trees and most of the schrubs have also lost their leaves, except the kerria schrubs and some understory schrubs and viburnum that are still colored.Certain oaks and hickorys will hold some of their dried leaves for quite a while yet, some until Spring.
