Signs of Fall

Date: 11/05/2012

Number: 1

As I write, snow covers the ground and winds are picking up.
There is about 6 cm.( 2 and a 1/2 inches). Almost all of the leaves are gone and the tamaracks are shedding their needles now.
In the morning the puddles have a skim of ice on them. The sun still feels warm on your face but only if you are out of the wind.
The migrating birds are moving through quickly and woodpeckers are once again at the suet. Also, the flying squirrels are back at their feeders too.
